COVID-19 in 2020: Reshaping a Decade of New Practices and Principles

When a new and novel strain of coronavirus emerged slowly in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019, no one realized it would take only weeks for it sweep the whole world off its feet. From daily infection & death tolls to global lockdowns and social distancing, the fight towards combatting COVID-19 continues on. Alongside this, the fears of facing radical economic after-effects also linger in the periphery.

Nevertheless, we must understand that this is only half of the picture. It represents only current dynamics, with people and markets struggling to combat the virus day-on-day.

The other half is all about the aftermath; the change. It is about paying homage to the precious life we have lost in this crisis and taking lessons learnt to shape the macro trajectory in the years to come. Some sectors will go down and some new ones will emerge. People will demand some things less but some things more. Organizations will find new, or even novel ways of getting work done.
